Tucker Valve Seat Company will custom make valve seats to your size specifications if possible. All "T" Series valve seats are available in oversizes and most "T" Series valve seats are stocked in standard oversizes such as +.005, +.010, +.015, +.020, and +.030 at not additional cost.
Tucker valve seats listed with an "E" prefix are made from an alloy of Nickel, Chrome, Tungsten, and Cobalt. This is a non-magnetic material with a Rockwell "C" hardness of 38-=42. The E-Series valve seats are most successful and are recommended for L.P. and Natural Gas applications where high temperatures occur.
Tucker valve seats listed with an "N"prefix are a non-magnetic alloy manufactured with high Nickel, Chrome and Molybdenum. This alloy has a Rockwell "C" hardness of 28-38, and is generally used in diesel applications. The N-Series alloy is usually an O.E. equivalent and most successfully used in and environment wher no sulphur or sulphur oxides occur.
Tucker valve seats listed with an "X" prefix are made of a Stellite #3 material. These valve seats are not coated or inlay, but are manufactured in a solid cast material and have a Rockwell "C"hardness of 52-60. This is a non-magnetic, Chrome, Cobalt, Tungsten alloy manufactured exclusively for Natural Gas engines where a very "hostile" environment of temperatures exceeding 1600 degrees F over extended periods of time is encountered. This "3 Stellite material is not recommended for standard industrial applications.
